EDS-X (Enhanced Definition Synthesis-eXpanded): A significantly upgraded sound engine providing over 1,700 factory sounds (compared to 950 on the PA600), including multi-layer grand pianos with damper and body resonance.
KAOSS FX: A creative performance tool that allows you to transform styles and MIDI songs in real-time via the touchscreen (morphing between variations, live reshaping of rhythms, and DJ-style effects).
Improved Display: A 7-inch capacitive TouchView™ TFT display (800x480). Unlike the resistive screen on the PA600, this responds to light touch (similar to a smartphone).
Guitar Mode 2: Makes guitar accompaniment parts sound incredibly lifelike by translating keyboard chords into realistic strumming and picking patterns.
Onboard Sampling: Includes 128 MB of compressed user PCM memory (equivalent to 256 MB linear data) for loading your own samples in WAV, AIFF, or SoundFont formats.
Connectivity: Includes an HDMI video out port for displaying lyrics or the interface on an external screen.
Quarter Tone SubScale Keypad: Dedicated hardware buttons to flatten or sharpen specific notes on the fly to match traditional Maqam or Bayati scales.
Expanded Sound Library: Includes authentic ethnic instruments like the Oud, Bouzuk, Kanoun, Ney, and various Middle Eastern percussion kits.
