5-String Extended Range: The bass includes an extra low B-string, extending the instrument’s range downwards. This is essential for modern rock, metal, gospel, and many other genres that require deeper bass registers.
Phat II Active EQ Boost: This is a signature Ibanez feature. It’s an active (9V battery-powered) bass boost circuit that is controlled by a dedicated knob.
Slim GSR5 Maple Neck: While 5-string necks are naturally wider, the GSR5 profile is designed to be very slim, fast, and comfortable (sharing the sleek characteristics of the premium SR series).
